Hopefully we can answer some of your questions…
When do we open?
Our first day of school is August 22, 2016
What ages do we serve?
We serve prenatal to 2 years old. Infants must be at least 6 weeks old before they can be accepted for daily care. Once a child turns 2 years old, he/she will be transferred to Bagdad Head Start.
What are our hours?
Our center will open 8:00am -4:30pm, Monday- Friday. We will follow the general LISD academic calendar and ruling for most holidays, school closings/openings, and weather related closures.
How many children can you serve?
We can have up to 8 children in care.
How much does it cost?
ACTS of Love is completely free to families enrolled! Families will not be asked to pay any enrollment fees, tuition costs, or meal costs.
Are there any qualifications for enrollment?
Our only qualification is that the child’s parent(s) is/are enrolled in and attending Leander ISD. At ACTS of Love we care about serving the family as a whole, as well as the individual child. We want to see our young parents finishing high school and establishing a healthy foundation for their new family.
How do I enroll my child?
You can find all of our enrollment paperwork on our website (find it here) or through your Parent-Teacher Educator. Once all the paperwork is complete, you can bring it by our center to complete enrollment.
What services do we offer?
Thanks to our wonderful partnerships, we are able to offer free childcare, we supply 2/3 of the child’s daily meals (lunch, breakfast, and an afternoon snack), health assessments, vision and hearing screenings, access to a lactation specialist, access to a disability coordinator, enrollment in Leander ISD’s Parents as Teachers program, access to a clothes closet and toy share program, enrollment in WBCO Head Start and Early Head Start programs, and the support of ACTS Church Leander.
How can I volunteer?
If you are interested in volunteering, please refer to the application found on our employment page
How can I donate?
Currently, you can make online monetary donations by clicking this heart… Once you are on the donation site, please make sure you select “ACTS of Love” from the drop down box. We are a non-profit childcare center and run solely on the generous contributions and donations made by individuals and community partners.
We do accept donated items as well. For specific wish list items, please contact the Director. For general items such as toys, baby clothes, diapers, etc., we ask that all items be clean, sealed (if applicable), and not broken. A general rule: if you wouldn’t want your own child wearing it, playing with it, or using it, then it is not safe for our children either.
If I have other questions, who can I contact?
You can contact the Director, Katie Evans at Katie@actschurchleander.com
